Its Suzuki again

Suzuki seems to be trying hard in order to regain its lost momentum in its newest form  – the Suzuki Gixxer. Although a lot of time was devoted in creation of this machine but nevertheless it paid of as it gained several awards of automotive excellence and set numbers rolling on sales chart. In an attempt to maintain this momentum Suzuki is finalizing a faired version of its newest machine which could be named as Suzuki Gixxer SF.

Coming to machine it is Powered by the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine outputting 14.6bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm.

Suzuki Gixxer SF features LED tail lamps, clear-lens indicators and digital instrument cluster just like its recently launched sibling
Aiding to it there are telescopic forks on front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
All this sums up to 139kg of kerb weight.

It has also been reported that pre-booking for Gixxer SF has been started by dealers in some parts of country with availability in three colours --Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.

Suzuki enters 250

The Indian motorcycle arena is going through its revolutionary phase where rising fuel prices and hunger for performance are doing a head on.
Although there is nothing new in this but that adrenaline rush which a fuel guzzler gives you has still kept the manufacturers interested in Indian market..
With the advent of quarter litre dash in market that is currently dominated by Kawasaki Ninja 250r and Honda CBR250R , the manufacturers are putting their best in their efforts to grab a big munch of it..
The newest member in this segment is Suzuki that has recently launched its Inazuma 250 at a controversial price tag of 3.10 lacs (ex-showroom delhi). The way Inazuma has been priced points towards a hypothetical approach of Suzuki.

Although this hefty price tag gives a hint of premium features but that is not totally true with this Japanese tool.
let me tell u how??

TECHS
The powerplant is a liquid cooled  4 stroke parallel twin displacing 248cc mated to a 6 speed gearbox.
However power figure are yet to be discovered but something near 25bhp and torque of 22nm is expected.
There’s nothing fancy about this mill except that it is a twin and most of the torque and power seems to be concentrated in low and mid range.
yes that’s right!!
Don’t expect it to be a rocket on tarmac although a good city driveability and comfort is what this Suzuki boasts of.
This bike fails to sport any interesting stuff like inverted forks, ABS brakes, split seats bla bla bla which makes it evident that this has been targeted towards a more mature rider instead of throttle freaks.
stopping power comes from discs on both ends and is decent enough for hefty 183 kg weight of this bike.
fuel tank has capacity of holding nearly 13 litres of fuel.

LOOKS
This is a personal perception and may differ from person to person but this bike looks dated and very sedate in its styling.

The positive elements of its styling include 3 spoke aluminium rims , a good detailed instrument cluster, street fighter look alike design and dual chrome exhausts but they also fail to hide ugly looking rear section that resembles to that of Hayate and other low end line-up of suzuki India.
Needless to say Inazuma fails to impress much in this department.

Suzuki Inazuma 250 is currently available in black colour only and with such a price tag, success of this vehicle in Indian market is something to doubt, considering its competitors like KTM duke 390 that boasts of very promising performance and features.

Now lets wait and watch how far this Suzuki is capable of going.

Hyosung's India coming

South Korean motorcycle maker Hyosung has collaborated with Garware to bring a range of affordable sports monsters to India. While the more powerful 600cc ones were launched last year, the next big thing from Garware-Hyosung will be the GT250R.
This 250cc oil cooled, V-Twin along with DOHC eight-valve mill assisted by a 5-speed Constant Mesh gearbox. The engine produces a peak power of 27PS at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 21Nm at 6,750rpm.

As per various road tests it can hit a top speed of 149km/h with a weight of 188kg.

As per looks are considered the GT250R is associated with more muscle than any usual 250 however its styling still appears to be a bit dated. On front end, we find similar twin disc brakes and an effective, two-stage projector headlight.
The bike's analog cum digital console also lacks style input, also the switchgears lack finish and fit.

One of the highlights is massive 17 litre fuel tank. The LED backlight comes handy with split garb rails but nothing much about them. On the front side the bike is surprisingly equipped with twin discs and a single at rear one but double not always means double. Same goes for its twin discs which provide effective braking undoubtedly but not as good as they appear.

Despite an electronic fuel-injection unit, the GT250R is devoid of low range punch in its rev range but once past 6000rpm, the GT250R wakes up.
On suspension front both the suspensions fail to project enough confidence, also the maneuvering feels less crisp and precise as compared to its competitors

The GT250R will be assembled in India . There are meaty upside-down front forks and a monoshock rear. Expect to chop out about Rs 2.75 lakhs for this babe
